Why infinity scarves?
The Scarf That Started it All
I had never made an infinity scarf before, but I was looking to make something new and different. I wanted to make a small-ish garment that I could make while testing out different colors and combinations of fabrics, and stitches. I wanted to play! I tried a new stitch, and fell in love instantly. I put two different colors together, not sure if it would work, and it totally did, and since then I have been enthusiastically playing with my crochet and knitting.
I get cold!
I love to design either for a need that I have, or to help someone else. It doesn't have to be a big thing, but if I can make someone (or myself) more comfortable with minimal effort, heck yeah, I'll do it! Especially if its for me! This one was for me. I work in an office. And somehow, every office I've worked at, I get the seat directly under the vent. I would wear coats all day, and still get so chilled! An embarrasingly long amount of time later, I realized a simple scarf would have made all the difference. *Sigh*
Practical
I don't know if anyone else out there has had this problem, but sometimes, wearing fashionable pieces is a lot of work! I will go ahead and point out that this is especially a problem with womens clothing. There seems to be rarely any concideration for how the person will actually wear the piece. It ends here! Well, I'm doing my part at least. Infinity scarves are great for several reasons (and yes, I have thought about this A LOT), first, if it's windy, you don't have to constantly fuss with your scarf coming undon and flying off. You also don't have to worrry about dangling scarf ends getting caught around your arm while you are fishing, or falling into your food, or dangling over the fire while you cook s'mores. Infinity scarfs, stay in place, and don't take fussing with to keep them looking nice all day!
One for every occasion
In my enthusiasm for my product, I have found that they can be worn pretty much any time. I am someone who runs on the cold side though and lives in a temperate area. If you run cold like I do, then you will likely find that infinity scarves almost year rounded are great to have. If you run warm, you might find that you can really only tolerate the summer collection durring the winter.
